Bear Run - Ohiopyle SP
Bear Run, a Natural Area owned by the Western PA Conservancy, is located across PA Route 381 from the famous Frank Lloyd Wright's "Fallingwater". Beautiful trails wind through laurel and rhododendron over creeks and small bridges. Some trails are steep and narrow but there are a couple of flatter trails for the less adventurous.
Just a little farther south on PA Route 381 is Ohiopyle State Park. Better know for Whitewater and the Allegheny Highlands Bicycle Trail, there are crosscountry ski trails. However, both Bear Run and Ohiopyle are lower in elevation, so it takes a lot of snow to be able to ski this area. Ohiopyle Park Map (pdf)
